We confirm your vehicle, supply type and switchboard, usually from photos, for a fixed quote.

Cable size and protection are set by the charger's current, cable length and installation method.

The charger is mounted and wired, with a brief supply isolation for the final connection.

Southport or Robina garage close to the board
Where the parking is near the switchboard, a single-phase 7kW charger on a short dedicated run is usually the straightforward option.
Burleigh hill slope, longer cable run
Hillside and split-level homes often put the board a long way from the parking. Cable size is set by voltage drop over that distance, not by the charger rating.
Palm Beach or Mermaid Beach carport
Open coastal carports need outdoor-rated hardware and a sheltered position, away from driving rain and direct afternoon sun where the layout allows.
Strata townhouse with a private garage
Usually achievable where the space is allocated to your lot. Body corporate approval and agreement on the supply point are normally the longest part; we prepare the documentation.
Older board with no spare capacity
Either board work or a load-managed charger resolves it. Load management is often the cheaper path when the board is otherwise sound.
FAQs
Home EV Charger Installation questions
7kW or 22kW — which should I install?
Whichever matches your car's onboard AC charger. Three phase is worth it if you have the supply, high daily kilometres, or a second EV coming. Plenty of Coast estates are single phase, so we confirm your supply before specifying hardware.
Can the charger go outside in a coastal location?
Yes — the chargers we install are rated for outdoor use. In salt-air areas we still choose the most sheltered practical position, keep the unit out of driving rain and direct afternoon sun, and detail the enclosure and cable entries for that exposure.
Do I need body corporate approval in a townhouse or apartment?
Usually yes. Approval requirements differ between schemes, so check your by-laws — we supply the installation details, hardware information and compliance paperwork the committee typically asks for.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
Someone over 18 needs to give access to the switchboard and be walked through the charger at handover. You don't need to supervise the work.
Will the power be off during the work?
The supply is isolated for 30–60 minutes while the new circuit is connected and tested. We'll let you know beforehand.
What paperwork do I receive?
A Certificate of Testing and Compliance, manufacturer warranty documentation and the installation test results.
