Gold Coast EV Charger Group is a lead engine (brand) operated by Tradie Code Pty Ltd (ABN 16 700 500 349). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Tradie Code Pty Ltd.

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect through goldcoastevchargers.com.au and the Gold Coast EV Charger Group phone number 07 5620 3511, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.

Information we collect

When you request a quote using the form on this website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your mobile phone number
  • Your vehicle brand
  • Your suburb or area

With each enquiry we also automatically record:

  • The page on this website you submitted the form from, and the page that referred you to it
  • Your browser type (user agent)
  • Campaign tags in the page address (for example utm_source or utm_campaign), if present
  • The date and time of your enquiry

When you call 07 5620 3511, the call is connected through a call-tracking service. We record the number you are calling from (unless you withhold it), the number you called, the date and time, and the call status and duration. If you email us, we collect your email address and anything you include in your message.

You do not have to give us your details, but if you don't we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or prepare a quote.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote for your home EV charger installation
  • To pass your enquiry to a licensed Queensland electrical contractor who can quote for and carry out the work
  • To contact you by phone or SMS about your enquiry
  • To detect and prevent spam and misuse of our forms and phone number
  • To measure and improve our website and advertising
  • To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Who we share your information with

  • A licensed electrical contractor. We may provide your enquiry details to a licensed Queensland electrical contractor servicing your area so they can contact you, quote and, if you agree, carry out the installation.
  • Service providers. Our website hosting and database providers, our call-tracking and SMS provider, and Google (analytics and advertising, see below). They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
  • Anyone we are required or authorised to disclose it to by law.

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website uses cookies and similar technologies from Google, including Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag. They help us understand how visitors use the site, measure how well our advertising works, and show our ads to people who have visited this site (remarketing). These tools collect information such as the pages you view, your device and browser, an approximate location, and a cookie or device identifier.

When you successfully submit a quote request, a conversion event is sent to Google Ads so we can measure our advertising. This event records that a submission occurred and the page address. It does not include your name, phone number or the details of your enquiry.

You can control cookies in your browser settings, manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Storage and security

Enquiries and call details are stored in our own lead-management system, which we use to receive, manage and route enquiries. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Enquiries are sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access is limited to people who need it to handle your enquiry. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and call records for as long as we reasonably need them to respond to you, provide the services you ask for, and meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. When we no longer need your information, we delete or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
